What would you do if you didn't become a professional League of Legends player?

Alex Ich: Before committing to League of Legends, I worked as a programmer for UBS bank. When I approached the company with a decision to retire, they intended to promote me, therefore they looked at me as if I was an idiot. I think I'd resume working as a programmer, because I find it exciting.

Edward: I started playing League of Legends professionally back when I was in high school! I successfully became a high school graduate, and at that time we were winning all the tournaments we were participating at. If I wasn't a pro player now, I'd be on my second year of university studies, which I am essentially doing right now.

Genja: Before we started regularly travelling to tournaments, I used to work in the tourism industry, but I didn't really like it, presumably, like many others, but job is a job, and it's not easy to find one that you enjoy. If I didn't become a pro, I think I'd leave the tourism industry nevertheless and I'd start working as a programmer.  I don't have an education within this field, but I was studying on my own by the means of different materials available online. On top of that I was motivated to study this field.

Darien: Thank you, Riot Games. You saved the World!

Diamond: I have already answered this question in my recent AMA, therefore I think I`ll supplement that answer not to repeat myself.

Essentially, I'd follow in my father's footsteps and would finish my education at SPbNRU ITMO* and would work in the information security industry, even though I was tempted to make a living by doing sports (at that time I primarily considered chess, since I had been playing chess for 8 years, but I had to give up on chess due to my education, which I had to later on abandon in favour of eSports).

There is a chance that if League of Legends didn't exist I would have lots of spare time that I would use to eventually reach GML in SC2 (I managed to reach Master League, while I was occasionally coming across guys from GML, when I used to relax playing StarCraft II for 1,5 - 2 hours per day in my time off from League of Legends) and make a career out of it. Or else later on I'd play Hearthstone, where without a huge effort and simultaneously dedicating lots of time to League of Legends, I managed to reach the top of the ladder for three months in a row and even managed to win a couple of tournaments.

In any case, should I even become ten times more successful in any other game by now, if I am to look back, I would definitely choose League of Legends. Not only do I feel like I belong to this game, I met a lot of great people, whom I am still friends with, but, most importantly, this game allowed me to meet my special someone.
