Addressing Rumours: Signing a Challenger Team

Lately there have been rumours of our organization acquiring a secondary team to compete in the Challenger Series. Even though it is ultimately not true, we understand why these rumours exist and would like to address them in this statement.

OFFICIAL STATEMENTS

Leviathan is released from Gambit

Even though in the beginning of this year we signed Jordan "Leviathan" Thwaites as a Head Coach for both splits in 2015, we decided to terminate his contract after our disappointing performance in the playoffs. The results and more importantly the development of our team over the course of the Spring split are overall unsatisfactory. As of now, we have not found a suitable replacement, therefore finding a new Head Coach is our primary goal during the mid-season. We would like to thank Jordan for his efforts and we wish him luck in his future endeavours. It is valid to note that our loss in playoffs came down to questionable decision making in certain scenarios, as well as individual misplays. Having said that, we have faith in our players' ability to compete with the top European teams and achieve the ultimate goal of qualifying for Season 5 World Championship.

GAMBIT WEEKLY

Gambit Weekly #26

Do you think there should be League of Legends Nations Cup? Who would you have on your team if you were its captain? P1noy: Yes, I think there should be League of Legends Nations Cup, since I think that Denmark will be a really strong contender. Roster: Zorozero; Santorin / Svenskeren; Bjergsen; P1noy; Deficio.

Retrospective

Alex Ich's Final Match With Gambit

We went into LCS EU Spring 2014 Playoffs as the fifth best team to face Roccat who finished fourth. In the first game of the series Roccat capitalized on taking two Barons, whereas in the second one they acquired a huge lead early and did not let go of it due to our individual mistakes. It was a convincing victory for the Poles, which meant that we had to face Copenhagen Wolves in the 5th place decider. Last year there was a lot on the line in this match, since the 5th place guaranteed a spot in the Summer Season, whereas the 6th best team had to win over one of the Challenger Series teams to regain their spot in the LCS.
