Betsy Joins Gambit Gaming

When we recruited Betsy two weeks ago to temporarily replace niQ, we did not expect him to perform the way he did. He got a lot of attention for his performance and an impressive KDA on Ahri against Fnatic, but we did not want to jump to conclusions prematurely. This week we scored two more victories and extended our win streak to seven games, whereas Betsy continued to perform at the highest level. At that point it became apparent that we must at least weigh our options and seriously consider having him on our starting line-up.

Betsy stays for two more games

Even though Sebastian "niQ" Robak has already returned to our gaming house, our team and management agreed upon not fielding him to our matches against Copenhagen Wolves and Roccat this week. Sebastian hasn't played a single game for the past ten days, therefore we find it more appropriate to provide him an opportunity to regain his shape until he will resume practicing with the rest of our team once we conclude our games during the sixth week of LCS EU Spring. It means that for the second week in a row our starting Mid Laner is going to be Felix "Betsy" Edling.

Betsy to replace niQ this week

As it stands, Sebastian "niQ" Robak can return to Berlin no earlier than on Wednesday evening. It means that he won't have any time for scrims or even individual practice going into this weeks' games. With that in mind we decided to use H2k-Gaming's substitute mid-laner Felix "Betsy" Edling  as our sub this week. H2k's manager kindly approved of Felix becoming our substitute player, and Riot Games' representatives allowed us to field him this week. Felix has been practicing with our team since Monday, and we hope that we will get enough time to build a synergy required to challenge MYM and Fnatic.

niQ might miss several official games

Earlier today it was revealed that we are looking for a new mid-laner to replace Sebastian "niQ" Robak. In this statement we would like to clarify what was going on behind the scenes. Over the weekend Sebastian realized that he requires a medical attention and has therefore travelled back home. He cannot take part in our current scrims and his participation in the upcoming week of LCS EU Spring is not out of question as well. We hope that he can recover as soon as possible and will let him take as much time off as he needs before he can return to practicing with the rest of our team.
